"Sepia en su Tinta" Cuttlefish is known as Cachón in the area of the Bay of Santander.  As a tribute to one of the typical dishes of Cantabrian cuisine, Alalaunga has rescued a family recipe to honor its flavor and ingredients, but within a tin. These cuttlefish from the Cantabrian Sea are captured by inshore fishery vessels through the use of sustainable fishing gear. Each tin is handmade, and absolutely delicious mixed in with white rice, garlic, salt and a bit of lemon.

  • Size: 140g
  • Region: Cantabria

This cuttlefish in ink is delicious to mix into some freshly cooked white rice. You can also enjoy it straight from the tin alongside some toasted bread or pico breadsticks.

This is a non-perishable product, so it will last for for quite some time! Keep stored in a cool and dry place and away from direct sunlight. Once you open it, and if you have some left, make sure to keep it tightly sealed and refrigerated. Also, make sure to not heat the tin up in the microwave.

Cuttlefish, ink

Hailing straight from the Cantabrian Sea in the North of Spain, Alalunga premium tins are forged from the passion of gastronomy. The goal of Alalunga is creating a gourmet tinned seafood experience, with an emphasis on modern fishing practices and traceability. Alalunga exclusively sources their fish from markets along the Cantabrian Sea, placing an added focus on the culinary traditions of the region.

Alalunga conservas are prepared in extremely small batches due to the high quality of their ingredients, seasonality of the fish and the presentation of their packaging. Each tin is numbered to account for traceability and accompanied with information about the origin of the fish within.
